Narrators

 My favorite narrator is Tim O'Brien from The Things They Carried. In this novel, Tim O'Brien narrates all of the stories told in the book. The interesting part is that he is not the main character in every story. I really enjoy 1st person narration, but with a twist on it. It's interesting to have someone who is not the main character of a story tell the story. That is why I enjoyed The Things They Carried so much. It adds a unique aspect of narration that is not seen too often. Tim O'Brien is in a platoon of soldiers and tells a variety of war stories. The cool part is that he makes each story about a certain person, and they are the main characters for that story. It is cool to see the perspective O'Brien adds to the stories because he was a spectator during these stories.      This is my favorite type of narration and favorite narrator in general.
